The Rio Brilhante farm is located in the region of Cerrado Mineiro, one of the primary coffee-growing regions of Brazil. The region is renowned for its excellent coffee production which can be attributed to a combination of good soil, terrain and the general ‘know-how’ of its people.
Inacio Carlos Urban acquired the Rio Brilhante farm in 1984 with a dream of producing great coffee through sustainable and innovate practices. This particular lot is 100% handpicked Catuai 99. The coffee cherries are picked and sorted, before being dried on patios until they read below 12% moisture.
